We did exactly the same thing as you a year ago - ditched the bikes for a while in Mochis and took the train up into the mountains. You are now headed into unfamiliar territory for us, so we will be reading carefully and taking notes - be our 'advance' eyes and eyes - 'kay?? Enjoy Central America!
